Iran-Europe trade continues to grow The latest Iran-Europe trade statistics show that in the first nine months of 2020, Iran imported more than 200 million euros of wheat from Europe.

The latest statistics released by the European Statistics Office show that trade between Iran and Europe has grown by 6% in the first nine months of 2020. During this period, Europe exported goods worth 1108.3 million euros to Iran, which has increased by one percent compared to the same period last year. From January to September 2020, Europe exported food goods worth 237.5 million euros to Iran, which is a significant increase compared to the same period last year. Unground wheat is one of the food commodities worth 201.5 million Euros exported to Iran during these 9 months. Iran's exports in the first nine months of this year amounted to 211.2 million euros, an increase of 37% compared to the same period last year (154.4 million euros). Trade volume between Iran and Europe in September 2020 was 121.6 million euros, which is a decrease of 13% compared to the same period last year (140.2 million euros). Europe exported 100.8 million euros to Iran this month, down 22 percent from the same period last year. Iran also exported goods worth 20.8 million euros to Europe this month, an increase of 103 percent compared to the same month last year (10.3 million euros).
